Iain Wright Associates is a unique consultancy in construction technology. The practice was established to offer Clients a professional service in specification, solution and investigations of materials and products to ensure that they are fit for the purpose intended. Iain Wright Associates makes extensive use of our mobile laboratories and specialist equipment during the investigations of building defects.
Recent projects have included supervision of curtain wall installations, investigations into glazing, roofing and waterproofing failures, surveys of concrete facades, risk assessments of glazing installations and roof access and momnitoring of building movements. IWA also carries out scheduling and tendering for remedial action following investigation works, and project management of the subsequent contracts.
The Group has two separate mobile laboratories. One is equipped for surveying and soil investigation, including aggregate and concrete sampling. The other has been fitted out for building technology investigations with a wide range of equipment for inspection, sampling and testing. In addition to the two mobile laboratories, there is a small research facility at Head Office where samples can be inspected and tested for compliance with the relevant British Standards.

Imperial College, London. IWA has carried out many varied projects for Imperial College, including a full survey of the glazing in all of the buildings on the three main campuses.
